Vo svojom diele Summa Theologica sa pokúsil dosiahnuť harmóniu medzi Aristotelovou filozofiou a kresťanskou teológiou, preto býva jeho filozofia označovaná ako tomistická syntéza.
História
Z pohľadu ekonómie sa cirkev chovala ako diktátorský alebo komunistický režim. Všetko sa riadilo podľa presne stanovenej myšlienky v ktorej nebolo miesto pre vzdelaných ľudí ,ktorý by nemali spútané ruky nezmyselnými zákonmi a nariadeniami. Išlo iba o to aby mala cirkev absolútnu moc nad ľudmi a ich mysleným. Cirkev často vyvlastnovala majetok, pôdu a zbavovala sa problémových ľudí .
Napríklad v starovekom grécku boli položené základy chirurgie, liečiteľstva pomocou rastlín a veľa dalších. Bohužiaľ po nástupe kresťanstva v európe a daľších krajinách sa chirurgia, prírodné vedy a prakticky všetko čo by mohlo ohroziť nadvládu cirkvi. Jednou z nich bola aj ekonómia. Väčšina pôdy bola majetkom cirkvi a keď mal niekto iný názor tak sa pôda, majetok vyvlastnia a dotyčný si posedí vo väzení, pri najlepšom.
Sv. Tomáš sa narodil v roku 1225 blízko Neapola rodine Grófa Akvinu . Ako najmladší syn bol učený ceste duchovnu . Na univerzite študoval gramatiku a logiku , Po štúdiách odchádza do Paríža a potom do Kolína. Kde sa stal asistentom Alberta Veľkého . V roku 1274 zomiera v kláštore.
